  • We pride ourselves on our high level jiu jitsu, competitive nature, team atmosphere, and commitment to the sport. Disciple BJJ offers the most training opportunities in the Campbell River area through our comprehensive schedule and class selections. With that said, we appreciate the entire BJJ community of Campbell River and understand that each BJJ practitioner will have a gym that best suits their different needs. We encourage everyone to cross train with us, or with other gyms, when they can!

💙 Disciple BJJ’s newest member made his entrance into the world this week! Please be kind with the wrist locks and heel hooks, Jonah is still learning. A HUGE thank you to Coach Markell @kellmiller12 and Coach Chris @the_real_thor._ for covering the bulk of classes, and to anyone else that helps out, so that David can take some time off to adjust to life with a new family member! David plans to be back teaching in a week or so and will be in and out over the next week when he can - each day is different and we weren’t expecting Rebecca to be recovering from surgery. ‼️ Ladies classes on Mondays will be cancelled for the time being. We will post an update when we can!

Joey caught the jiu jitsu bug as soon as he began training, and it’s been impressive to watch him find his own style and implement it into his rolls and in competition. Both of them receive high praise from their training partners and coaches on their growth and how excited we are for what’s to come for them… they also both have a very tight footlock so be on alert 😂 Thanks for training with us guys. We are lucky to have you.

2025 was an unforgettable year — we wish we could capture it all but we’d be here a while 😂 We’ve left 2025 with many OGs as well as a lot of new faces. 2026 has pretty big expectations to meet and we can’t wait to see what it brings. Thank you to our members, parents, and spouse for making Disciple BJJ a second home for us and for so many others 🙏 and a huge shout out to everyone, especially our higher belts, for always being willing to share their knowledge and styles with each other. The level up in 2026 is going to be huge thanks to all of you. If there is something you want to see more/less of in 2026, please let us know! SHOULD WE DO ANOTHER QUINTET FOR OUR 2ND ANNIVERSARY?
Last weekend, we had our first ever promotion ceremony at the gym. Lots of recognition and celebration all around. This didn’t capture all of it, but it’s a glimpse into the awesome people we’re surrounded by. Reflecting on 2025, we’re very thankful for the community you’ve all built with us. Thank you endlessly to all our members, spouses of members, parents, and everyone else that makes this community what it is!
